This course maps out the complete pathway from candidate to professional registration. It highlights the different professional environments applicable to Engineers, Technologists and Technicians and introduces key ECSA concepts such as complex engineering, broadly-defined engineering and well-defined engineering.
Participants will learn how to strategically plan their training and development, enabling them to confidently complete ECSA documentation and progress toward professional registration.
The course provides in-depth discussion on the 11 ECSA outcomes and explains how competency can be developed and demonstrated against each outcome.
Participants will gain a clear understanding of the levels of responsibility typically assumed during engineering activities, as well as ECSA’s requirements regarding responsibility taken prior to professional registration.
The course also covers the general training hierarchy and outlines the training plans required to ensure a successful and structured route to professional registration.
All required ECSA documentation will be discussed in detail, including: Application Forms, TER, TES, IPD and Engineering Reports (ER).
